Our Commitment to Discipleship

At Iglesia Dios es Mi Pastor Foundation, we believe that every believer is called not only to accept Jesus Christ as Savior but also to become a faithful disciple who follows Him daily. Discipleship is a lifelong journey of growing in faith, obeying God's Word, and becoming more like Jesus Christ.

Jesus commanded His Church:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19–20
 

Our goal is not simply to fill a church building but to develop mature followers of Christ who love God, serve others, and share the Gospel.

Every disciple begins by placing faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, and receiving His salvation.

Scriptures: John 3:16; Romans 10:9–10; Acts 3:19.

Every believer is encouraged to grow spiritually through:

• Daily prayer.
• Reading and studying the Bible.
• Worship.
• Fellowship with other believers.
• Water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Scriptures: Colossians 2:6–7; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16–17.

God has given every believer gifts and talents to serve His Church and bless others. Every member is encouraged to discover and faithfully use their spiritual gifts.

Scriptures: 1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12:4–8.

Every disciple is called to make other disciples by sharing the Gospel with family, friends, neighbors, and the community.

Scriptures: Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8.

A growing disciple will:

• Love God wholeheartedly.
• Love others as Christ loves.
• Live according to the Bible.
• Pray consistently.
• Demonstrate the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Forgive others.
• Walk by faith.
• Share the Gospel.
• Serve with humility.
• Remain faithful to the local church.

To encourage spiritual maturity, every member is encouraged to:

• Read the Bible every day.
• Pray daily.
• Attend weekly worship services.
• Participate in Bible study or small groups.
• Serve in a ministry.
• Give faithfully as an act of worship.
• Continue learning and growing in biblical knowledge.
• Encourage and mentor other believers.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for calling us to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Help us to grow in faith, love, wisdom, and obedience. Teach us to live according to Your Word, to serve with humility, and to boldly share the Gospel. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that our lives will reflect the character of Jesus Christ. May we make faithful disciples who will also make disciples, bringing glory to Your name.
